America's IT workforce who have the appropriate experience and training should be able to find jobs. Instead, they are struggling to find positions and settling for jobs beneath their skill level. As we look to place IT consultants we are flooded with candidates out of work due to downsizing or outsourcing. These people have experience and training that should enable them to make a good living.

It is very disheartening to see people who have done the right things to prepare themselves for employment with proper training, degrees and experience find that they have few prospects. I find myself more and more disenchanted with the direction of our industry. In a world driven by technology, retooling is not an appropriate option, it's simply misplaced priorities of employers.

This has opened my eyes and we at RTC are focused on "Putting America's IT Back to Work". We look to put quality people back to work as subcontractors or contract to hire and are passionate about this effort. We are seeking not only Denver IT professionals looking for jobs but companies that are committed to bringing some of these jobs back onshore. So if nothing else, please consider when making that next hire or filling that sub contracting position to look at those who are qualified that live and pay taxes in your community. It is not only the right thing to do, but the right thing to do for America!
